Knitting with sequined yarn

Dear users, dear authors,
has anyone here tried sequined yarn or knitted with it?

I once knitted myself a sweater out of sequined yarn. But it wasn’t much fun. The sweater turned out to be very itchy because some sequins ended up on the inside while I was knitting.

I also tried crocheting with sequined yarn (as an accent yarn), but that didn’t work at all 

I haven’t knitted with it, but I did crochet a shawl with it once.

Let me put it this way—it’s definitely a challenge! :D
And you should avoid mistakes. I had to rip out an entire row, and at some point I was close to tears. 

I don’t think it’s particularly pretty either. But I just wanted to give it a try :D 

I once knitted a shawl with sequined yarn....
It turned out pretty, but it was pretty uncomfortable to wear around the neck. What was great, though, was wearing it over a light summer/beach dress around the hips instead of a belt.
I also still have some lace yarn with sequins—kind of like mohair... it was pretty expensive back then 🙈 But since mohair is already a pain to knit or unravel, combining it with sequins can just be a nightmare. ...
