Knitting slip-stitch patterns

Dear users, dear authors,
would you like to share something about knitting slip-stitch patterns?

I’ve already knitted hats and baby booties using a slip stitch pattern.

Slip stitches create a visible color change within a row, even though you’re knitting with just one color. It’s a new challenge for beginners. 

I also think slip stitch patterns are very beautiful.
You can create lovely patterns with them.
However, you do need to knit the piece using at least two colors.

I think slip stitches are great. Here on CP, I’ve found some beautiful slip stitch patterns with cable-style slip stitches—they create lovely Celtic patterns and are really easy to knit. What’s great is that each row is knitted with just one color, so you don’t have to carry any yarn on the wrong side.
