Knitting a men’s sweater with mohair using two strands?

I found some Rowan Felted Tweed in green (color no. 158) in my stash, and I’m planning to use it to knit a men’s top-down raglan sweater. Now my husband would like the sweater to be a bit thicker. So my question is: would Silkhair be suitable for this, or would another lace yarn be better? And what color—green or gray? Maybe someone has a good tip. Thanks in advance!

Silkhair is great—it makes the sweater fluffy and warm without making it too heavy. But it’s also very long-haired. The question is whether your husband likes that and whether he can wear it next to his skin.
Otherwise, Holst Supersoft would also be an option. At first, it doesn’t feel quite as soft as the name suggests, but it fluffs up nicely after washing. And it comes in a wide variety of colors, so you’re sure to find something that works. Holst also offers other fine yarns that would work well.
