what are you sewing right now?

Next, I’m going to sew at least one long-sleeve T-shirt. Today I received two gorgeous jersey fabrics in a swap that go together perfectly. I’ll have to see which pattern I’ll use—I have more than enough in my stash, and altering them to my liking is a breeze for me. Both fabrics also go very well color-wise with my good winter pants

I’m working on a Christmas sewing project.

Yesterday I finished the St. Nicholas boot for my grandson. Over the next few days, I’ll be sewing matching gift bags for the Christmas presents—you never seem to have the right size on hand. 

A pair of shorts for myself—I didn’t finish them in time for the warm season, so they’ve been lying around half-finished for a while. Now all that’s left is the waistband.
After that, I’ll start on a hoodie for my husband.

@Inge, I really like your fabric, too. Beautiful muted shades of green. That’s sure to make a great long-sleeve shirt. That’s still on my to-do list, too.

@Petra, that little boot looks absolutely adorable! And gift bags are such a nice touch—and so sustainable.

@notnadel, you’re already thinking about summer. That’s a great idea. And I really admire that you can sew a hoodie.

@Everyone—maybe you could show us your finished projects.

I just sewed two pairs of pants that were ordered for my youngest grandchild. To go with them, I want to make some little scarves with snaps this week.

I’m sewing gifts—kids’ wallets, lanyards, neck warmers, an embroidered dish towel set, etc.

I’m also testing my new pattern, which is set to be released at the end of January.

So I’m pretty busy :)

I’ve been collecting fabrics for years, too.
Right now, I’m cutting out a warm nightgown;
I’m using a well-fitting shirt as a pattern and
just lengthening it.

I didn’t have the right size packaging, so I sewed a gift bag out of an old Christmas tablecloth and an old shirt. 

It turned out great.
Does it have a zipper?
