Knitting Pattern for Kids' Shorts

Hi everyone, 

I'd like to knit a pair of shorts for my 7-year-old daughter. Unfortunately, I can't find a pattern for this anywhere. 
They shouldn't be too tight, but rather casual. 
Does anyone know where I can find something like this, or could someone create a pattern for it?

Yes, I do. There’s something similar to what I’m looking for, but it’s for adults. Unfortunately, I’m not very good at adapting or creating knitting patterns. 

Maybe the authors here in the forum can give you some tips on how to adapt it, or you could reach out to the author of the pattern in question and ask for advice on how to modify it.
