CALs, KALs, and other community projects: How are things going for you right now? Are you enjoying them?

Are you currently active (as a user or as the author of the pattern) in a CAL, KAL, or other group project? How’s it going? Are you having fun?

I’ve also signed up for J-CAL (it’s my first time trying something like this) and I’m thrilled 👍

Today I’d like to introduce my new blanket CAL “Hypnotic”:

The start date is 03/11/2022. The blanket consists of 9 parts with beautifully coordinated patterns. It is worked completely in rounds (no turning after each round required), and there are options for enlarging it in 2 places.
You can make it rectangular or square, and you can join in later at any time.

Materials: (In this example, 4-ply gradient yarn (modal) from Sandras Bobbelchen was used)

• Yardage for the rectangular version = approx. 6000 m (as shown, without enlargement)
• Yardage for the square version = approx. 5500 m – 5700 m (without enlargement)
• Crochet hook suitable for the yarn (example here = hook size 4)
• In addition, I recommend 12 stitch markers to mark the corners, among other things

You’ll find additional yardage details for each part, with different hook and yarn weights, as well as all the necessary information about the CAL in the info file, which you can download in advance after purchasing.

The measurements with the specified hook size and yarn weight:
Rectangular version = approx. 1.80 m x 1.55 m (lightly blocked)
Square version = approx. 1.55 m x 1.55 m (lightly blocked)

And here is the matching CAL for the triangular shawl "Hypnotic"

The start date is 03/11/2022. The shawl consists of 7 parts with beautifully coordinated patterns. Here, too, there is the option to make it larger.
