Creating an Amigurumi Pattern Based on a Picture

Hi—can anyone give me a tip on how to make an amigurumi figure based on a picture? Thanks for any advice.

Break the figure down into geometric shapes: spheres, hemispheres, cones, cylinders... You can use those as a guide. Start by trying a simple figure.
Keep crocheting a small section, checking whether you’re happy with it, and you’ll probably have to unravel it quite often!
