Take it easy and enjoy the first day of the year. You certainly aren’t missing out on anything outside today. We’re having a bit of light sleet here—nothing that’s tempting me to go outside.

We almost slept right through the New Year. But right on time at midnight, the fireworks went off after all. Though there were fewer than usual.

We’ve already started the New Year with long walks—the weather was so beautiful.
