Hi,
I have a question and hope one of you can help me. Let’s say I want to wind a yarn cake with 1,000 m and 5 colors. How many meters does a color gradient need so that each color is the same width in a triangular shawl? Are there specific formulas for this? I’ve searched a lot, but unfortunately haven’t found anything.

Hallo Alexandra,
dein Problem hat mich sowohl stricktechnisch als auch "mathematisch" gereizt - hier also ein Lösungsansatz!
Ich habe ein (gleichseitiges!) Dreieck in 5 Streifen zerlegt, d.h. 4 Trapeze + 1 Dreieck (die Spitze). Aus den Flächenverhältnissen kannst du nun die Fadenlängen errechnen (vorausgesetzt natürlich, das Muster bleibt über das gesamte Tuch einigermaßen konstant....)
Für 1000m Wolle brauchst du also:
360m Farbe 1
280m Farbe 2
200m Farbe 3
120m Farbe 4 und
40m Farbe 5
Es ist dabei egal, wie hoch/breit das Tuch wird, die Flächenverhältnisse bleiben immer gleich. Allerdings müsstest du auch genau die 1000m Wolle verstricken, damit die Streifen die gleiche Breite bekommen (....und Drachenschwanz funktioniert auch nicht ;-)
Ich habe eine kleine Excel-Tabelle gemacht, wo man über die Eingabe der Fadenlänge und der gewünschten Streifenanzahl auf die Länge der einzelnen Farben kommt - wenn du magst, schicke ich sie dir gerne zu (muss sie nur noch etwas optimieren....)
Ich hoffe, das hilft dir ein bisserl weiter!

danke das ist voll lieb von dir. Ich habe sowas ähnliches schon mal gelesen und kann es einfach nirgends mehr wo finden. Es ist ja nicht so. Einfach dann auch den Farbverlauf zu berechnen wenn die Streifen gleich breit sein sollen und einem Verlauf mit drinnen sein soll damit der Übergang nicht so hart ist sondern langsam in die andere Farbe übergehen soll. Über die Tabelle würde ich mich sehr freuen ????.

Huhu :) dein Beitrag ist schön länger her ... aber ich bin da nun noch einmal darauf gestossen und habe großes Interesse an der ExelTabelle zum Wickeln. Besteht die Möglichkeit diese vielleicht noch zu bekommen. Ich möchte mit dem Wickeln .

bitte entschuldigt, ich habe in diesen Thread nie mehr reingeschaut, aber immer sofort geantwortet, wenn ich eine Anfrage per PN bekommen habe....
Ich versuche nun hier, ein "Bild" der Tabelle hochzuladen, das für 1000m Fadenlänge und maximal 12 Streifen ausgelegt ist, aber halt nicht editierbar. Wenn ihr die Original-Excel-Tabelle wollt, wo man dann jede beliebige Fadenlänge eingeben kann, bitte um eine kurze PN mit euer Mailadresse, ich schicke sie euch gerne zu!

Hi dear Anke,
Burgi Sauseng and I have developed a great reference table for this. You can use it to calculate even Bobbel yarn cakes with up to 12 colors (meaning colors, not color changes ;) ) and an increasing gradient with up to 8 colors. It also shows you the cone usage for better planning.
