Washcloth / Cuddle Cloth Peaping Knitting Pattern

When my eldest son started talking, he was fascinated by penguins. But penguin is a difficult word and he turned it into peaping. The "peaping" in the bath was an absolute hit. It makes bathing twice as much fun. The "peaping" also makes a good dishcloth in the (play)kitchen, or if you use a softer material to knit the "Peaping", it also makes a good cuddle cloth.
The washcloth is knitted with knit and purl stitches only and is suitable for beginners as well as advanced knitters. I wish you lots of fun knitting and using it.

Knowledge required:
• Cast on stitches
• Cast off
• Knitting knit and purl stitches
• Edge stitches
• Crochet chain stitches (explained in the instructions)

Difficulty level:
Easy.

28 stitches = 10 cm wide. 41 rows = 10 cm high.
With this stitch pattern, the washcloth will be approx. 23 cm wide and approx. 21 cm high.

• You need 1 ball of Schachenmayr Catania (100% cotton, LL 50g = 125m) in dark blue or in your preferred color. My consumption was 35g. Depending on your personal knitting style, your consumption may vary a little. You can also use a different yarn with a similar yardage.
• Knitting needles no. 2 ½.
• Crochet hook no. 2 ½.
