Hi
I was just trying to buy a pattern and pay with a credit card (Visa), but it's not working. Can anyone help me? I'm from Austria.

It’s not working. I don’t have a PayPal password for my credit card, and instant bank transfer doesn’t work either because I don’t use online banking.

To use PayPal, you first need to sign up for an account. You can do that with your email address at paypal.de. There, you’ll enter your credit card information, and all purchases you make through PayPal will be charged to your credit card.
The advantage is that PayPal is widely accepted and you have buyer protection.

Hm,  maybe add money to PayPal by bank transfer. And as soon as the money has been credited to PayPal, you can pay with your PayPal store credit.

You can also use PayPal for direct debit. But from what I can tell, that’s not what you want

I know. I understood that she would have preferred to pay by credit card, but that isn’t possible. As an alternative, she tried PayPal, but that didn’t work either.
PayPal works in three ways: 1. Paying via PayPal and charging the credit card; 2. Paying via PayPal and charging a checking account via direct debit;    3. Top up PayPal via bank transfer, and only once there’s store credit in PayPal can you pay with PayPal.

According to the text, however, she apparently can’t use options 1 and 2 yet because she hasn’t activated those features.


And a bank transfer to CP is also out of the question, since she doesn’t use online banking.

So the customer is left with only option 3 via PayPal, and that requires patience

For bank transfers, you can also use regular banking—you don’t need online banking for that.
