Category request: handmade jewelry

Usually, only Muetzekatze has category and feature requests, but for once, I have a request too.

How about adding “handmade jewelry” as a category?
Homemade earrings. They might have turned out a bit big, but they’re pretty to look at.
And above all, they’re very unique—I’m sure not every other woman is wearing the same

In the patterns section, I saw a pattern for wrap bracelets a while back—that also falls under jewelry in a broader sense.

Making your own necklaces, bracelets, etc.—this topic offers a lot of possibilities.

now you’re starting with the special requests or wanting special treatment too, just because I do that every now and then? ;)

But I think it’s a good idea. The earrings in the picture are really big, though.
Don’t you think they’ll stretch out your earlobes over time?
As far as I know, there’s even a special cosmetic surgery procedure for older women who’ve worn extra-large earrings—especially heavy ones—for many years, causing their earlobes to droop toward their chins.

Not to mention the dermatological issues that excessive use of perfume behind or under the ears can cause, especially in connection with allergies. That’s what happens when you read women’s magazines so diligently—you end up knowing things that nobody wants to know.
But you didn’t want to know any of that anyway. ;)

Okay. Back to the topic.
I think making your own jewelry would be nice, but unfortunately I have absolutely no talent for fiddling with tiny parts. Personally, I prefer to buy ready-made jewelry at the store.
