Summer Shirt "Wellenreiter"

Hi everyone,
I need help with the “Surfer” summer shirt by Stefanie Bettmann. Has anyone crocheted this yet?

I’m on row 16 now, and it looks great so far, but it’s rippling before and after the pattern repeat. Is that supposed to happen? I’ve attached a picture.

As Josefa already said, the best person to ask would probably be the author of the pattern.

But I took a look at the cover photo of the shirt, and it definitely looks like yours is coming out just right.
It looks great :)
