Autumn time = Pumpkin time
I love pumpkins — as decoration, for eating, for looking at, and so on.
The internet is already full of patterns, but as an experienced knitter, pictures are often enough inspiration for me to figure out how to make something. Then I sit down, start knitting, and take notes along the way — because of course, I want to share my ideas with you hihi
With this pattern, you’ll get the opportunity to make four different types of pumpkins in various sizes. Of course, you’re not limited in any way when it comes to how you design each one.
You can use any material you have or like to work with — whatever suits your project best.
It’s helpful to have some experience knitting in the round.
You should be familiar with increases and decreases, be able to knit and purl, occasionally slip a stitch, and ideally know how to make an I-Cord.
individual
Materials
• 4-ply gradient yarn (woolcake), sock yarn, or any other material you like
(In my case: 75 g of 4-ply for a 3x version – about 20 cm in diameter,
15 g for a medium version – about 10 cm in diameter,
5 g for mini pumpkins – about 6 cm in diameter)
• e.g., green for the stem and orange for the pumpkin body
• A knitting needle fine enough so the filling doesn’t show through
(I used size 1.75 mm for the regular yarn, 3.5 mm for the large pumpkin (german size))
Use double-pointed needles, circular needles with Magic Loop, or Crazy Trios — whatever works best for you
• Stitch markers
• Row counter
• Fiberfill stuffing
• Tapestry needle with a sharp tip (makes it easier to divide the pumpkin later)
• Scissors
No resale of the instructions, or reproduction, etc.
Also no sale of a finished part!
But it would be really wonderful if you could show your finished pieces here. That motivates others, hat inspires others, and it's always great to see how different tastes are and how beautiful each individual piece is!
You can download the pattern immediately after receipt of payment.
