A recipe for Eastern was requested.
What comes to mind for Easter? For me, mainly colorful eggs ;) and bunnies. Then green meadows and spring flowers.
But how do you put that into a shawl? I tried a lot of things—and actually had to discard quite a few ideas. Unfortunately, my planned Easter bunny just didn’t fit in. But the shape of the shawl was clear from the beginning.
A narrower version was also requested, and I tried to implement that as well.
This project is advanced level.
You should be able to read a chart (if not, feel free to contact me—I try to help ).
You should know:
• Knit and purl stitches
• Yarn overs
• Different types of decreases
• And… counting
individual
• Approx. 1000 m of yarn
(e.g. 4-ply gradient cake yarn, or hand-dyed / regular yarn with approx. 400–420 m per 100 g)
• For the narrower version: approx. 800 m or 2 skeins
• Circular knitting needle at least 80 cm, size 3.5–4.5 mm (german size)
(I personally knit quite loosely and quickly, so I usually need smaller needles)
• 5 stitch markers for sectioning
• Optional: 12 additional markers for pattern sections (e.g. for ray segments)
• Scissors and a needle for weaving in ends
No resale of the instructions, or duplication, etc. Also no sale of a finished part!
**But it would be really wonderful if you could show your finished pieces here. This encourages others and it is always great to see how different tastes are and how beautiful every single piece is!
You can download the pattern immediately after receipt of payment.
