There are no limits when it comes to choosing colors. Of course, it's nice to choose a strong contrast.

This shawl is ideal for snuggling up or simply keeping warm on long walks or dog walks, or when sitting on the terrace.

My choice of colors is not ideal. However, I had no way of estimating how much yarn I would need. So I used what I had plenty of.

I can also imagine using the small pieces to use up leftover yarn.

You should definitely know how to knit. And know how to slip stitches purlwise ;)

My shawl measures approx. 75 x 200 cm.
But this is optional – depending on the type of yarn and knitting style.

• Approx. 670 g or 1850 m of 4-ply yarn for the main part / main color
• Approx. 100 g or 270 m for the small squares (“Fleckerl”)
• Circular needle of your choice (I used 2.25 mm because I knit quite loosely and too quickly)
• Matching set of double-pointed needles (2 needles) or an additional circular needle
• Long stitch holders (very large safety pins)
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle (you’ll need it quite a lot )
