Natascha's weekendsweater is oversized and boxy in cut. The neckline is threaded
with cords, and there are small pockets on the front where you can snugly tuck your
hands. They also provide space for small items. These accessories give the sweater a
sporty-casual look. The pullover is knitted from top to bottom. You start at the double-folded collar. The front and back panels are first knitted separately in rows. After they have been joined, the body is then finished in rounds. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves.
Natascha's Weekendsweater is knitted seamlessly from top to bottom.
Initially, you pick up stitches for the collar and knit in rounds. Then, you shape the
shoulders by increasing stitches on either side of the collar. On the front, you work
short rows for a better fit.
Once the front and back are completed, they are joined with additional stitches under
the arm, and the body is finished in the round. While knitting the ribbing, you also
create the pockets.
For the sleeves, you pick up stitches and knit them top-down in rounds, with regular
decreases at specified intervals.
The pattern is for advanced beginners.
