Sveas LinjeTroyer | knitting pattern | knitted troyer, sweater

Product description

Svea's LinjeTroyer – rough like a winter morning, yet soft like the memory of a warm evening by the fireplace. The collar, wide and protective, with buttons behind which coziness awaits. A piece that not only warms but embraces.
You begin with the back. After shaping the shoulder using short rows, you knit back and forth until the increases for the armholes are completed, before placing the stitches on hold. Next, stitches for the fronts are picked up one after the other along the cast-on edge of the back. The neckline is shaped through increases until, as an extension of the fronts, stitches for the button band are picked up. Here too, you knit until the increases for the armholes are completed. Once all parts are finished, you join them by casting on additional stitches under the arms and knitting the body flat for a few more centimeters across all stitches, until the fronts are joined, and the body is finished in the round.
Next, stitches are picked up along the armhole edge, joined in the round, and the sleeves are knitted, tapering through decreases. For the double collar, you pick up stitches along the neckline edge and knit back and forth. The collar is folded over at the end and sewn in place.
