The entire potholder owl family, ‘Eugen’, ‘Eugenia’, ‘Trine’ and ‘Klausi’, is now available as an economy set. Individually or as a set, they make a great gift as they bring protection, luck and prosperity to the recipient. They also symbolize intelligence, wisdom and cleverness. Or why not knit a beautiful set for your own kitchen?
The potholders are knitted using the double knitting technique. This means that they are beautiful on both sides. The instructions contain a counting pattern and the stitch sequence is written out row by row. This means that even beginners can try their hand at knitting these beautiful potholders using the double knitting technique. No experience with double knitting? My free Double Knitting tutorial explains step by step how to do it. You can find the instructions at: https://www.crazypatterns.net/en/items/97086/double-face-knitting-a-tutorial
You can find the individual instructions for the potholders in my owl collection: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/users/view_collection/3244/eulen-eulen-eulen
You will also find more owl instructions there. Just have a look.

If you can follow the exercises from my free basic school Double Face Knitting (https://www.crazypatterns.net/en/items/97086/double-face-knitting-a-tutorial), you can try your hand at these potholders.
Knitted in double face: 26 stitches = 10 cm wide. 36 rows = 10 cm high.
With this gauge, the potholder measures approx. 21.5 cm x approx. 21.5 cm.
• Katia Capri, 100% cotton, 50g = approx. 125m.
• 50g each in your desired colors (2 colors per potholder). I used a total of 28g per color and potholder. However, the amount needed may vary a little depending on your personal knitting style. You can also use a different cotton with a similar yardage.
• Knitting needles no. 2
• Crochet hook no. 3
• Sewing needle
• Scissors
