If you have these skills, you’ll be able to knit this scarf with ease.

What you’ll get:
You’ll receive a 13-page pattern. The pattern includes a detailed explanation of the i-cord edge, a clear chart, and a row-by-row description. It also includes instructions for lengthening/shortening or narrowing/widening the scarf.

Difficulty level:
Easy

Size Information

Width: 35cm
Length: 170cm
The scarf can be lengthened or shortened, as well as narrowed or widened.

Materials List

The following yarn is used for the scarf:

  • Lang Yarns Merino+, 100% virgin wool
  • Yarn length: approx. 90 m / 50 g
  • Recommended amount: 350 g in your desired colour

My scarf, which is approx. 35 cm wide and approx. 170 cm long, used 313 g of yarn. However, yarn usage may vary slightly depending on your personal knitting style.

In principle, you can also recreate the pattern with any other yarn. The only important thing is that the yarn feels comfortable against your neck and doesn’t itch. The amount of yarn needed will change if you use a different yarn.

If you use a different yarn weight, you may need to adjust the number of repeat patterns so that the scarf reaches the desired width.

You will also need:

  • Size 4.5 knitting needles
  • Crochet hook size 4.5
  • 2 double-pointed knitting needles (from a set) size 4.5
  • A scrap of yarn in a contrasting colour with roughly the same yarn weight as the yarn for the scarf; this serves as a working thread
  • Darning needle
  • Scissors
