Giving away patterns—is that possible?

Hi everyone

No matter how hard I search, I can’t find an option for gifting a pattern bought here. I’m in several Secret Santa clubs, and there are all kinds of craft enthusiasts there.

I’d like to add a few crochet patterns from here to my wish list, for example, and give away one or two knitting patterns in return. 

Is there any way to do that, or is it simply not possible? I realize that I’m not allowed to have a copy of the pattern, but is there explicitly a way to buy a specific pattern for someone else?

currently there isn’t any kind of gift or gift card feature here.
To purchase the patterns, you need to have your own account.
Maybe that will be added in the future if there’s enough demand.

Too bad...sigh...that would have been really great...especially for small Secret Santa exchanges, when the gifts aren’t supposed to be very expensive...
