CAPTCHAs

Just a moment ago, when I was posting about wool felting, I had to type in a CAPTCHA. Now, for this post here, there’s no CAPTCHA anymore.
Is this a new feature, or is it just me? Do I have to type it in every time I want to post something on the forum, or just this one time? Thanks for your replies.

Well, I didn’t have to enter one (thank goodness—I’m at war with those things, grrrr).

Too bad—I don’t like having to enter a captcha anymore either

Hi Hamster,

all users with unverified email addresses must enter a CAPTCHA. This is how we try to prevent spam posts in the forum. Once you’ve entered the CAPTCHA, you’ll be temporarily considered "trusted" and won’t have to enter any more CAPTCHAs for the current session.

Hi Alexander, thanks for the info. I confirmed my email address a few days ago, but I still have to type in the CAPTCHA once for my first post each time, just like you mentioned above. Oh well. It’s really just a few characters each time, and if it helps reduce spam, I’m fine with it.
