Last week I had a problem downloading a free sewing pattern—the image kept reloading over and over (I suspect it was a virus). I shut down my computer, and when I restarted it, Internet Explorer kept opening a new page on its own. So I restarted it again, but this time the monitor wouldn’t turn on... Has this ever happened to you? I’ve ordered a new one and run Avira on my computer.

This has nothing to do with downloading a sewing pattern. Unfortunately, we here on the forum can’t help you with this. Please contact a professional.

Hi Josefa, and thanks—I just wanted to know if this has ever happened to anyone else. The computer isn’t broken; I fixed it myself with the antivirus program :-)
 

Yeah, that happened to me once too—the PC was just dusty. So I opened it up on the side and carefully vacuumed it out.
Everything worked again.
