Crochet hooks?

Hey everyone,
I have a question—
my niece is really into crocheting right now.
I’d like to buy her a crochet set for Christmas.
There’s a huge selection out there, and the prices vary a lot.
Which set would you recommend? Or which hooks are the best?
I’m sure everyone has their own preferences, but maybe you can give me some advice.
I’d already been thinking about the Drops crochet hook set for 17.87.
It’s on sale. But I’d also be willing to
get a more expensive one if the hooks are better.
Thanks so much for your advice.
Best regards,
Gr. Gra.

Dear christel-grasshoff,

How old is your niece? My son (9 years old) likes the ones with the thickest handles best; those are easiest for him to hold. And he also likes metal handles best.

There was already a thread about this here some time ago, though. Maybe you’ll find a satisfactory answer here.
