Happy Weekend / Teddy Bear Picnic Day 2026

I hope you have a great start to the weekend and plenty of time for crafting. Today is officially Teddy Bear Picnic Day 2026. I didn’t make this day up—it really exists. If any of you would like to upload your own photos of a picnic with your teddy bear, feel free to do so. Have fun at your picnic, with or without a teddy bear.

A teddy bear picnic—what a fun idea. I’d probably have to rent a bus—I have so many teddy bears. And I’ve always wanted to make some outfits for them—at least a few of them. We’ll see; I don’t have anything on my needles right now, so that might be an idea—I’m already looking for a new project. And of course, I’d love to make all those things, but I’d have to buy new yarn first. So I’ll see what goes with what I already have.

It’s supposed to get hot again here—I’m prepared: everything’s been bought, everything’s been washed, there’s plenty of ice in the freezer—nothing can go wrong.
