Uploading pictures

I'd like to upload some pictures. It says something about the size of the picture. Mine are bigger than that.

How can I make them smaller?

I use “Fast Stone Image Viewer” — the download is free:

With it, you can do more than just resize images. For example, you can also crop them (if there’s something at the edge of the photo that you don’t want to have in it).
