I’m curious to know what happens when someone subscribes. Does the person in question (just) receive an email, or does that trigger an automatic purchase? Maybe this could be included in the “Help” section.

everything I’m about to say is just speculation. I think that when a customer subscribes, they essentially have a watchlist of the sellers they’ve subscribed to. Then they just have to click on the respective seller to view their patterns. So there’s no need to first use the search function to look for patterns by that seller or to search for the seller. I don’t think this is linked to a purchase.

Michaela has already summed it up correctly. Subscribing is just a kind of bookmark function so you don’t miss the patterns from the respective sellers as easily anymore. It has nothing to do with a purchase, although of course it’s always a good thing when a user likes a seller’s patterns so much that they subscribe.

.” Instead of “Subscribe,” maybe we could label the button “Bookmark” or “Add to CP Favorites.” We could consider
offering a discount for users who have subscribed to the shop in question.
