Summer scarf Blossom Magic - Double knitting pattern

In anticipation of the warm season, I designed this summer scarf. You can wear it as a light scarf in spring or autumn (and wrap it a little tighter around your neck when it gets cooler or draughty) or as a loose decoration in summer. Thanks to the comfortable material, the scarf won't make you hot even in warm temperatures. Knitted in bright colors, the blossoms are guaranteed to be a great eye-catcher!

This scarf is knitted in the double knitting technique. Thus, it is extra soft and looks beautiful on both sides. Please note: the pattern includes two different versions – a slim one for the summer as shown in the pictures and, additionally, a wider version if you want to knit the scarf as warmer winter version

Required skills: double knitting in general

You will get three separate pdf documents:

• general instructions on how to knit the scarf
• knitting chart for the slim summer version
• knitting chart for a wider version, e.g. for a winter scarf

skills level: advanced

Gauge 25 stitches x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4“ x 4“)

Size of the scarf will be approx. 16 cm x 167 cm. You can vary the length of the scarf very easily.

Please note : If you have a different gauge, the size of the finished scarf will be different, too!

• Lana Grossa Summer Cashmere 90 % cotton and 10 % cashmere (210 m / 50 g) in pink (006) und turquoise (013), 2 skeins à 50 g per colour
  Alternatively you can use any yarn with a similar yardage (please make sure that it feels comfortable and rather cool on the skin, e.g. cotton, bamboo etc.)
• If you knit the scarf for the winter season I recommend a more warming yarn, such as wool / merino, with similar yardage
• Knitting needles 2.5 mm
• Tapestry needle, scissors
