Twighligt - the violet hour has dawned and the bats are waking up. Hundreds of them set off and fly towards the big city…

Round yoke sweater, knitted top down:

  • 11 sizes (for 78-150cm / 30.5’’ to 59’’ chest
  • normal, short and long sizes
  • size inclusive
  • Perfect for spooky October (or all fall and winter).

The sweater is designed with an I-cord edging in a loose neck width; Alternatively, a rolled cuff can also be knitted. The sleeves are slightly tapered and are gathered by a folded cuff, which is repeated at the hem.

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

Used techniques:

  • Knit and purl, if you knit a rolled cuff: knit through back loop
  • Increases (by preferred method)
  • Decreases (by preferred method)
  • Stranded knitting (main and contrasting color • )
  • Slipped stitch
  • Sew by hand / tailors baste for sewing on the folded cuff
    If the neckline is to be with Icord:
  • Bind off with Icord (over 4 stitches)
  • Provisional cast on or Icord cast on (over 4 stitches)

The prototype shown in the instructions is knitted from Superfine Alpaca / Baby Alpaca 100 from
Hansafarm. 50g for 100m. On the label the gauge for needles EU 3-4 is given as 24 stitches on 32
rows. Informations on labels is always approximate. The gauge for this yarn knitted with needles EU 3.25
needles gave a result of 20 stitches and 30 rows per 10 cm / 4''.

Waste yarn, extra cord (e.g. from interchangeable circular knitting needles) or 2 stitch holders for
putting st on hold
Tapestry needle and thin elastic band that fits through the eye of the sewing needle (for sewing on
the folded hem), measuring tape
