Size
One width, 72 sts, it can be varied by the needle size and yarn used.

Suggested yarn
All sock knitting yarns with a yardage of 360 - 425 m/100 g will work fine.
Up to size EU 40 / US 9 I recommend yarn with a length of 420m/100g, from size EU 41 / US 10 onwards use yarn with a length of 400m/100grams.

Depending on yardage and your knitting tension, you will need up to 45 g in CC and up to 70 g in MC for a pair of socks.

Notions
2 circular knitting needles in size 2 - 3,0 mm, cables at least 80 – 100 cm long, or other needles for knitting in the round. The needle sizes are suggestions only and should be adapted to your yarn and knitting tension.
2 stitch markers, tapestry needle

Gauge
Use needles that give you the right size:
Up to EU 40 / US 9: 18 stitches = 5 cm / 2” and 20 rounds = 5 cm / 2”
EU 41 / US 10: 16 stitches = 5 cm / 2’’ and 16 rounds = 5 cm / 2’’

Materials List

Yarn:
All sock knitting yarns with a yardage of 390 - 420 metres / 100 grams will work fine

Toes, heels and cuffs are knitted in the main color. You need up to 70 grams grams (size US 12.5).
The motive is knitted in a contrasting color. You need up to 35 grams (size US 12.5).
Tip: Up to size EU 40 / US 9 I recommend yarn with a length of 420m/100g, from size EU 41 / US 10
onwards use yarn with a length of 400m/100grams. If you want to wear the socks in shoes, do not
use 100% Merino.

Needles:
2 circular knitting needles in size size EU 2- 3 / US 0 - 3,
depending on your knitting tension.I recommend
using circular needles and the magic loop technique. You can also knit the socks with double pointed needles - but you still need 2 circular knitting needles to cast on the socks (you start the socks at
the toes).

Further materials:
• 2 Stitch markers plus one special, to mark the beginning of the round (= round marker)
• Tapestry needle
