Handcrafting lanterns: great for pleasant summer evenings in the garden / on the balcony

lanterns / paper lanterns / lanterns are great for pleasant summer evenings outdoors. In this thread, you’ll find delightful ideas that you can also combine with upcycling. Have fun with them.

On warm summer evenings, we love to sit outside on the patio or balcony until late at night. Colorful lanterns create a romantic atmosphere. These crocheted lanterns are easy to make and perfect for using up leftover yarn: the more colorful, the better!
For one lantern, you’ll need a total of about 60 g of colorful yarn (I used Budget Yarn Acrylic DK),
a 2.5 mm crochet hook, 2 metal rings with a diameter of 15 cm, a few colorful wooden beads with a diameter of about 2 cm, and an LED string of lights. (The lanterns should not be used with candles or light bulbs that get hot!)
