The clothes we wear should not only be made of beautiful fabric and feel comfortable against the skin, but also flatter our figure. The features we love about ourselves should be highlighted. The features we’re less fond of should be concealed by the garment.

A poncho is the perfect garment for this. You can knit it from thick wool for a more rustic look, or from fine wool with a soft color palette and openwork patterns. Here’s what it can look like:

The summer poncho has a loose, casual fit. It sways with every step, giving it a light and playful touch. Skin peeks through the airy stitches.


You can also knit it in white. Then it looks more festive and could be worn with a long dress instead of a jacket.
