Maybe... an idea....

Knit a scarf using only knit stitches. Use a fine yarn and thin needles.

When you’re completely finished, before binding off, drop every 6th stitch, for example, all the way down to the cast-on edge.

But that’s just an idea.

That’s what I thought, too.
It’s not a typical lace pattern, after all. I already have the yarn: mohair—in pink 😍

Yes, I didn’t see a yarn over combined with knitting stitches together, which is why I came up with the idea of dropping a stitch.

A quick warning: Stitches made with mohair are very, very difficult to unravel or let slip. That’s because the yarn tends to clump together in a way that’s almost impossible to untangle.
