Viel zu beachten ist da eigentlich nicht. Sie sollten nicht zu groß sein, damit sie nicht als Kante von außen sichtbar sind. Und wenn es Kinderspielzeug sein soll, dann sollte man keine Pappscheiben verwenden, wegen der Waschbarkeit.

Zu klein sollten sie allerdings auch nicht sein, heute nach Dicke der wollte ist es sonst schwierig sie wirklich fest zu drücken.
Und wichtig ist auch, die beiden Teile wirklich ordentlich fest miteinander zu verbinden, also möglichst die Scheibe über alle Einrastpunkte des Stiftes zu bekommen, sonst "schlackert" es an Ende etwas rum.
