Hello @all
Over the next few weeks and months, this thread will become a guide to the Crazypatterns forum. So stay tuned and keep checking back.
@new authors who do not yet have access to the authors’ forum
In the authors’ forum, you’ll find lots of tips and help for selling patterns here on CP. You’ll get access after uploading your first pattern. Good luck selling here on CP.
What is this forum about?
In the CP forum, you can connect with other craft enthusiasts, ask questions, learn more, get help, and receive tips.
The account is free, and everyone can join in.
The account doesn’t cost you anything, and you can post regardless of whether you have purchased a pattern.
A brief introduction would be nice
A short introduction post from newcomers would be great. Please be kind and welcome new members and help them settle in a little—you were new once too, and you may still remember what it’s like to join a group when you don’t know anyone yet.
Courtesy and general conduct
Please try to be as polite as possible. If you treat people here the way you would like to be treated, everything should go really well.
Subforums on CP
The CP forum has several subforums. Please try, as far as possible, to use the appropriate subforum for your question / your thread. We’re happy to move things, but if all threads end up in the general forum, then the subforums for knitting, crochet, and sewing often remain empty.
Beginners on CP
Beginners are always welcome here on CP. Everyone started small once, and with a little practice you’ll soon be making the most wonderful patterns yourself. Be brave—you can do it.
Leftover yarn on CP
Since we know that many users like working with leftover yarn because it is right at hand and there’s no need to go shopping first, we have lots of patterns in the shop that can be made with leftover yarn. Just search for them in the forum, or of course in the shop.
Sewing on CP
Even though crochet is often the main focus here on CP, you can always start a thread about sewing, or ask questions about sewing and, of course, about all types of crafts.
Pattern requests
Here in the CP forum, you can post requests for patterns at any time. Perhaps an author (m/f) will be found who can turn your wish into a pattern.
Custom-making requests
If you find a pattern here that you would like to have made for you, you can also have that done by, for example, an author. Please discuss the details directly with the person making it.
Forum search function on the right – shop search at the top of the page
If you want to search for something in the forum, you can use the search function / search box on the right at any time. Just enter the search term you want and start searching. You can search for patterns or in the shops using the search box at the very top of the page.
Recommendations
In the recommendations subforum, authors present the highlights among their patterns once again. Maybe you’d like to click in now and then to discover great new items and bestsellers? Just give it a try right away:

Create a signature
Via your account / forum settings, you can create a signature at any time, where, as an author, you can also link to your shop here on CP or your FB page, etc. We don’t really like external links to other portals here. Users who do not intend to sell can also create a signature. Just write a few words about yourself.
SPAM
Anyone who packs excessive advertising links and self-promotion into posts in the forum will be permanently banned.
Author advertising is possible only and exclusively in the recommendations subforum and in the signature.
One account per person
Please open only one account per user. It’s simply clearer and more practical. Having two or more people share one account is also not ideal. The rule one person --> one account should be followed consistently here on CP. Thank you.
Exclusion from the forum
In the event of serious violations in the forum or on the portal, we reserve the right to permanently exclude the user concerned. However, we do this very rarely, and all users who behave nicely and politely do not need to worry about it.
