Casual Pants

Hi everyone!
Why aren’t there any nice, casual summer pants to sew with an elastic waistband, side pockets, and—most importantly—a high waist? I used to have a pattern like that, but unfortunately, I lost it.
I’m 72 and can’t do anything with stuff like shortened waists.

There are casual summer pants; I just sewed some for myself. Take a look at the Burda patterns, specifically the pants section—you’ll find plenty there, including some with a proper waistband.
Burda pattern 6678, for example, is one like that—you can easily widen the legs yourself, which is what I did, because tight legs don’t always look flattering on plus sizes.
