Emil the Wobbler

I’m currently working on the Emil bunny project, and I have to point out that, in my opinion, the instructions aren’t correct.
Take the hands, for example:
if I’m supposed to decrease every fourth stitch in a round of 20 stitches (4th, 8th, 12th, 16th, 20th), then there will be 15 stitches left at the end of the round, not 16 as stated. So it should say to decrease every fifth stitch (5th, 10th, 15th, 20th).
The next step calls for 16 stitches, where every third stitch is supposed to be decreased, leaving 12 stitches. How is that supposed to work? If I decrease every fourth stitch, then the final count is correct.
I already had these problems with the head. It’s totally confusing for someone with little crocheting experience.

Dear Ingrid: Have you contacted the author? How did she phrase the decrease rounds? Usually it says: crochet every 4th and 5th stitch together, then 16 stitches remain out of the original 20. And for the next decreases, crochet every 3rd and 4th stitch together = 12 stitches.
If the pattern is really unclear, the author would certainly appreciate being notified.
