CAL and Gallery

Hi everyone! :-)
I haven’t been here very long, but I love browsing around and am really amazed by the huge variety and creativity here :-)
It’s absolutely wonderful and a lot of fun.
I’ve already bought and followed a few patterns, and now I have two questions that I haven’t been able to find answers to in the Help section (maybe I missed them?). That’s why I’m turning to the forum.
First, what does “CAL” mean? What does it mean if I want to “join in”?
Second: If I’ve bought a pattern and followed it, am I allowed to post those photos in the gallery, or would that violate copyright law?

Welcome to the forum.
CAL = crochet along, i.e. a project is crocheted together in a large group, step by step. Usually there’s a Facebook group for it, so lively exchange is possible.
About your second question: Finished works may absolutely be shown in the gallery. All designers are happy about that.

@Petra, just a tiny correction:
CAL stands for "Crochet Along," which means exactly what you described so well. For knitting patterns, it's "KAL" (Knit Along). :)

Yes, that’s right. My mnemonic just got stuck in my head. I didn’t know what a CAL was at first either.
