10 x 10 Blocks in the C2C pattern
Material:
DK Yarn in 3 Colours
Black: 6 gr. (B)
White: 18 gr. (W)
Red: 10 gr. (R)

Crochet hook 3 mm
The Pattern is written in US terms:
St: Stitch
Ch: Chain
Slst: Slip stitch
CH: Chain stitch
DC: Double Crochet
SS: Slip Stitch
Block: A Block always consists of the beginning Ch and the 3 Double Crochet. In the pattern I use the number followed with the Colour to show how many blocks have to be worked in the Colour.
If you do not know how the C2C crochet technique works:
https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/blog/2263/free-beginner-guide-for-c2c-crochet-croner-to-corner
At the beginning of each row, I indicate whether it is an increase row, which starts with 6 chain stitches (ch), or a decrease row, which starts with 3 slip stitches worked along the edge, followed by 2 chain stitches.
After that, it is specified how many blocks are worked in each colour. Basic C2C knowledge is assumed.
Colour change:
Work the last double crochet until just before the end, but do not pull through the final loop yet. Yarn over with the new colour and complete the double crochet with the new colour. Always let the unused yarn fall to the back side.

Attach the hanger to the stick:
To attach the crochet piece to the stick, I’ve used a darning needle and took an approx. 1 meter long thread of the used yarn and sew each stitch onto the stick as shown in the pictures. I then attached a little hanger to the stick as well with and approx. 60 cm long thread and used a knot on both sides of the stick.
