Cape / Poncho "Art Deco" knitting pattern

Capes and ponchos had a fantastic fashion comeback in the last years for good reasons. Easy to wear, these garments offer endless possibilities for the designers in construction and texture, far beyond your average Mexican square poncho (which, by the way, can be transformed into something unique as well).

I chose NORO Silk Garden for the highlights of my cape. Set against a deep black background, the colours radiate like lead glass windows from the Art Deco era, hence the name. Wear your cape casual with jeans or combine it with your Little Black Dress. The knitting is pure fun – and much easier than the cape looks like!
