Rainbow Zebra NORA knitting pattern

A zebra to fall in love with - and it's twice as beautiful knitted by yourself!

Let‘s go to the circus and meet Nora the Rainbow Zebra! She is the cutest zebra around and the star of the troupe – we are not surprised. With her gentle manners and bright colours, she really stands out. You might consider knitting a friend for her in black and white as well. Or you skip the stripes alltogether and knit up a horse, a donkey or a unicorn!

The detailed pattern is suitable for knitters with a bit of experience, as there are short rows involved. More complicated techniques are explained in detail in photo tutorials. Please mind that NORA is designed as a cuddly toy with rather soft legs. NORA is knitted in the round, there is no instruction for flat knitting!

Using the yarn mentioned below, Nora is about 23 cm, sitting. Of course, you can use any yarn you want. You might browse your stash for the colourful stripes! Be aware that if you use thinner yarn, Nora will be smaller, if you use a heavier yarn weight, she will stand taller.

• Lana Grossa Cool Wool Merino Superfein (100 % Merino wool, 175 yards (160 m) per 1.76 ounces (50 g)) 1 skein in WHITE, less then half skein each in YELLOW, ORANGE, RED, PINK, BLUE, BRIGHT BLUE and PURPLE
• Set of double pointed needles of size 3 US (3 mm, 12 UK)
• Crochet hook size G US (4 mm, 8 UK)
• Beads, halfbeads or safety eyes, Ø approx 8 – 10 mm
• Polyester stuffing or similar, scissors, darning needle
