Pattern: Top/Tunic *DonnaRocco*

An individually adaptable pattern for a multicoloured knitted top or tunic in the *DonnaRocco* style, designed by Birgit Freyer.

The top *DonnaRocco* is a real Jack of all trades. It can be worked as a top or a tunic - straight or with an A-line.
The pattern contains the lacy stitch patterns as well as 2 less transparent alternatives.

The combination of different patterns and colours keeps the knitting process interesting, and creates a result worth seeing.
You can knit the tunic with a combination of three different colours - from bright to tonal - or stick to one colour completely.

As the tunic is worked from the top down, it can be easily fitted to any individual size.

All *DonnaRocco* style patterns have something in common: The change of colours and patterns is accompanied by a characteristic set of garter stitch ridges.
Also, all the patterns are variable.

The pattern is charted.

The pattern (a pdf file) contains 11 pages, including a photo, a schematic drawing, charts and explanations, a sizing spreadsheet and a tutorial on how to obtain the ideal neckline which can be applied to other top-down designs as well.

The level of difficulty is 3 (of 5).

Yarn: laceweight – yarn with a yardage of 600 to 700 m (660 – 770 yd) per 100 g, in 1 to 3 colours

• for a top in size 38/40 (S/M) approximately 600m (656 yd) in total, 300m (328 yd) color 1 and 150m (164 yd) each for color 2 and color 3
• for a top in size 46/48 (L/XL) approximately 800m (874 yd) in total, 400m (437 yd) color 1 and 250m (218 yd) each for color 2 and color 3
• for a tunic (longer and in A-shape) in size 38/40 (S/M) approximately 900m (984 yd) in total, 500m (546 yd) color 1 and 200m (218 yd) each for color 2 and color 3
• for a tunic (longer and in A-shape) in size 46/48 (L/XL) approximately 1100m (1202 yd) in total, 600m (656 yd) color 1 and 250m (273 yd) each for color 2 and color 3
  Needle size: 4.0 to 4.5 mm (US size 6 to 7, UK size 8 to 7), circular needles in different lenghts, matching crochet hook
