The PETALINE Top is a timeless basic with a delicate, romantic detail: the characteristic picot-style edgings at the armholes and neckline. These subtle finishes add a special touch to the clean silhouette. The top is designed to be worn with negative ease, resulting in a close-fitting silhouette.
The name “PETALINE” is inspired by the small picot edges, which remind me of delicate flower petals gently nestling against each other.
Whether knitted in cozy merino yarns or lightweight summer yarns, the PETALINE Top can be adapted to personal preference and becomes a year-round staple - worn on its own or as a refined layering piece.
The top is worked from the top down, allowing the length to be adjusted individually. To create the distinctive edgings, stitches are picked up along the armholes and neckline. The armhole edgings are folded inward and stitched down, while the neckline edging is folded outward and also stitched down, creating a thoughtful contrast in detail.
This pattern is suitable for experienced knitters.
