Cardigan *Mystery*

Product description

A versatile pattern by Birgit Freyer for a beautiful knitted cardigan.

A stunning cardigan, originally made of the versatile yarn Filace Moira with the wonderful colour changes. The original yarn can be substituted by any variegated yarn in a similar weight.

The cardigan is worked in several directions and looks really impressive - a true eyecatcher. The cardigan is worked in one piece and has no seams. The pattern describes how to work it in all individual sizes. For plus sizes, the cardigan can be worked in a wider version as well.

The pattern also describes how to work a longer version, so that you are able to work all sizes from childrens’s size up to a full coat.

The pattern contains charts.

Please note: This pattern contains detailed instructions about the construction and shaping, as well as charts for the ridges and eyelet rows. The distribution of the ridges and eyelet rows is up to your choice. On the last page of the pattern, you will find detailed examples.

Skills Required / What You'll Receive

The pattern (a pdf file) contains 11 pages, including a photo of the cardigan, schematic drawings, charts and detailed explanations about the construction and shaping of the garment.

The level of difficulty is 2-3 (of 5).

Required skills:

  • working from charts
  • reading schematic drawings
  • basic stitches: knit, purl, yarn over, increases and decreases (explained in the pattern)
  • knitting in rows and in the round
