Pattern Collection *Socks in Style*

Birgit Freyer's fourth collection of sock patterns in her Matrix style!

The collection *Socks in Style* consists of 6 patterns for 2-colored socks in Matrix style patterns - an easy-to-knit slip stitch cable technique.
Even though the patterns look impressive, they are rather easy to knit: In each round, only one colour is used. The colour changes after each round.
The cables/twists consist of two stitches only and can be easily worked without a cable needle.

The collection (a pdf file) contains 28 pages: an introduction to the Matrix technique, the pattern part and several tutorials (workshops) about the used techniques.

Each pattern contains a picture of the finished socks, charts and explanations.
The tutorials contain pictures and explanations.

The level of difficulty is 2-3 (of 5).

Required skills:

• working from charts
• knitting in the round
• basic stitches: knit, purl, yarn over, increases and decreases
• slipped stitches (explained in the pattern)
• twisted stitches (explained in the pattern)
• knitting a heel
• knitting a toe

The sizes of the single sock patterns range from 38 to 41 (US 7,5 to 10,5 / UK 5,5 to 8,5), but can mostly be adapted to other sizes as well.

Yarn: 4ply / fingering / sockyarn (420 m / 459 yd per 100 g), in 2 colours
Needle size: 2.0 - 2.5 mm (US 0 - 1,5 / UK 14 - 13)
Yardage: as stated in each pattern
