A wear-everywhere vest that is crocheted in a classic shell stitch pattern. It is crocheted quickly and easily from the top down, then joined at the underarm and worked in one piece for the length. The vest is crocheted in a simple shell stitch and finished with a shell and picot edging.
Skills Required / What You'll Receive
Skill level: Intermediate.
Instructions: This pattern PDF includes eight pages of written instructions.
Please note: Instructions come in an easy to read, easy to understand pattern and are written in U.S. crochet terminology.
Size Information
Adult woman: Small (Medium, Large, X-Large, 2X, 3X).
Finished bust size: Approximately 34 (38, 42, 47, 52, 56)".
Materials List
Materials: The vest shown in the photographs is crocheted in "Tatamy Tweed DK" from Kraemer Yarns. You can use any DK weight yarn that will produce a gauge of 4 sts and 2 rows = one inch. You will need approximately 1000 to 1500 yards (depending on the size you are making) to complete this project.
Tools: Crochet hook, U.S. size G.

Love it
I really wanted the pattern to make a crochet waistcoat for myself like the one I made for myself when i was about 29 years old which is a long time ago now. I'm 79 yrs old now

Fantastic pattern
Not an easy pattern to follow (I ended up sewing each flower together separately as I couldn't get the hang of the joining. It still turned out well though.
