Reminiscent of a bygone era, Victorian style flower motifs with half-square motifs across the top edge are joined together as you crochet to create a beautiful shawl. A lacy open-work border is added around the side edges to complete the look. The yarn used in this design is Caterina from Yarn Bee which comes in gorgeous variegated colors.

Skill level: Intermediate.
Instructions: This pattern PDF includes five pages of written instructions.
Please note: Instructions come in an easy to read, easy to understand pattern and are written in U.S. crochet terminology.

Size: Adult woman - one size fits most. Approximately 60" across top edge and approximately 30" from center point to neck edge before the border.

Materials: The shawl shown in the photograph is crocheted in "Caterina" (a DK weight or size 3) from Yarn Bee. This yarn is available at You will need approximately 1500 yards of almost any DK or sports weight yarn that will produce a 5 1/2" motif.

Love it
I really wanted the pattern to make a crochet waistcoat for myself like the one I made for myself when i was about 29 years old which is a long time ago now. I'm 79 yrs old now

Fantastic pattern
Not an easy pattern to follow (I ended up sewing each flower together separately as I couldn't get the hang of the joining. It still turned out well though.
