Gelting Cowl is a double-layer cowl which fits rather tightly around the neck. When loose fitting is preferred, simply
choose a larger size than usual.
The cowl can be worn from both sides i.e. it is reversible, and it is really warm and cozy… perfect for a seaside
promenade stroll.
The contrasting color of the inner side shows nicely through the openwork pattern.

Please choose your preferred size in accordance with your neck measurements and the desired fit.

Circumference of finished cowl:

• Child (14 inch / 36 cm)
• S (17 inch / 44 cm)
• M (20 inch / 50,5 cm)
• L/XL (22 inch / 56.6 cm)

Yarn:
Original yarn: Wollmeise DK [100% Wool (Merino), 234 yards / 214 m per 100 g]
Yarn Substitution:
Alternatively, any (merino) yarn with a similar yardage (DK weight) or gauge can be used.

Gauge:
22 stitches and 34 rounds = 4'' / 10 cm in stockinette stitch

Yardage:
You need 2 colors
ca. 210 yd / 90 g yarn of each color

Additional Materials:
• circular needle or DPNs in US size 4 (3,5 mm) or in size required to achieve gauge
• additional circular needle for grafting open edges
• 1 stitch marker
• waste yarn for the provisional cast on
• tapestry needle
