Hi can you explain why on the 5th row of the square on the cups you have to to it clockwise? I don’t understand the reasoning. I’m finding this pattern difficult to understand. Is the body of the vest crochet in one continuous circle?

  Hi Julie, you can work round 5 of the square either clockwise or not clockwise but I find it easier to work it clockwise, because you have to close the round with the slip stich in the third of the ch3 that replace the first dc. So if you begin not clockwise with ch4 (ch3 for the first dc + ch1) you have to search for the third ch3 at the end.
  The body is worked in rounds ( one continuous circle).
