Unterschied Stola und Schal?

Liebe Nutzer, liebe Autoren,
was ist der Unterschied zwischen einer Stola und einem Schal?

Weiß ich gar nicht so genau, ich tippe mal die Breite ist es. Ein Schal ist doch meist schmaler und wird um den Hals gewickelt, eine Stola liegt auch auf den Schultern.

eine Stola ist zum über die Schulter legen wie ein Tuch, nur das die Stola rechteckig ist und meistens breiter wie ein Schal. Deswegen sage ich ja auch zu meinem gestricktem Stolatuch, denn es ist beides richtig
